■Y/N's POV■

I'm nervously placing foods inside the lunch box, the last piece of onigiri I made is now filling the empty spot. I stare at the lunchbox for two I prepare since dawn.

Shuri: Oh my, that looks really nice... my baby really is talented with cooking~

Y/N: i-it's just simple dishes...

I put the lid of a soup container and place all of them inside a basket. I can feel my mother walks closer and stop behind me. Motther puts her chin on my shoulder and whispers.

Shuri: I think... this food will give me a police as my son in law in return~

My face grew hot by my mother's words.

Y/N: m-mother.... it's... we're not a couple....

Shuri: but today is a date no? Sawamura kun didn't asked you out on a "lunch" on this beautiful weekend right?

Mother grins at me making me can't keep my composure at all. Yes, today Sawamura san and I will go on a date together.

Last week, after he took me out for lunch, Sawamura asked me out on a date the following weekend. I was surprised and happy when I heard that.

Seeing how the strong Sawamura san look flustered, I can feel how he put a lot of courage that day, and, I'm overwhelmed by it.

We're planing to go to the park and have a picnic

Y/N: But for mother to say something like "in law"... It's too fast... we're not even a couple... Sawamura never said that he likes me... and I...

My hearts beating faster the moment I realised my feelings.

Shuri: and youuu?

I could see mother smiles at me in such a manner that didn't help my heart at all.

Y/N: I-

CLING!

Someone enters the shop and a masculine voice gently rings in my ears.

Daichi: um, excuse me...

Sawamura...

Shuri: a moment!

Mom pats my shoulder and walks to the hall that connects our house to our shop.

Shuri: well, you warp things up... I'll accompany him for a while...

I hurriedly cleans up the kitchen and stares at the basket on the counter.

Will he like it?

■Daichi's POV■

I'm standing at the entrance of L/N cookie shop which is also their house. Mrs. L/N is humbly talking to me while I'm waiting for L/N.

Shuri: well, Y/N'll be ready in no time... she has been in the kitchen since dawn to prepare food and snacks.

Daichi: ah, I feel bad... though I offered us to buy our me-

Shuri: no, no... don't feel bad... she looks excited as she make them all... I think, she's happy cooking for you...

My face grew warm by Mrs. L/N's statement.

L/N's handmade cooking...

Just then, (h/c) caught my eyes from the hallway. L/N came with a simple but pretty outfit. She always looks pretty but today, somehow she looks even more gorgeous.

I was too absorbed in admiring her that I'm probably in a trance, until her voice passes my ears.

Y/N: I-I'm sorry for taking too long, Sawamura san...

I saw her hands holding the picnic basket and I walk her way. I take the basket from her hand as I'm now right in front of her.

Daichi: n-no... please don't apologize... you spent a lot of time to make this... I have to thank you instead...

L/N looks down, she looks rather shy.

If being adorable is a crime, I'd be happy to arrest her...

Wait...

What did just crossed my mind? Bad Daichi!

I was quarreling with my own mind when I hear her voice.

Y/N: i-it's not much... I... just made simple dishes and snacks...

Mrs. L/N's words from earlier crossed my mind.

"Shuri:. I think, she's happy cooking for you"

I'm the one who's happy she cooked for me...

Daichi: I can't wait to taste them...

L/N looks at me and smiles.

How a mere smile could makes me feel like I'm floating?

■3rd Person POV■

Shuri happily watches her daughter with the neighborhood officer. She could feel that both are happy with each other's presence.

Shuri: well, now you guys are ready, you better leave now... so you'll have a long day to enjoy~

Y/N: ah... right... well, we will be going mother...

Daichi: I promise we will be back before it's too late... um, by the way...

Daichi is looking around as if he feels that something is amiss. Y/N and Shuri look at him wondering what he's looking for.

Shuri: what is it Sawamura kun?

Daichi: well, I haven't see Mr. L/N... is he out?

Y/N: ah, right... I haven't seen him either since this morning...

Shuri smiles and puts her hands on both Daichi and Y/N's back.

Shuri: ah right, your father is enjoying his life today, he's out since dawn... don't worry... now you two have fun~

Daichi and Y/N exchange glances but then walk out of the L/N shop and heading to their appointed date spot, not noticing that there's a certain someone who watches them from the window of the 2nd floor.

Shoji watches her daughter leaves with the police officer. He wants to scream so bad but the tape on his mouth prevents him from doing so. His hand was tied with cloth on his back. If people to see this they might think that the L/N couple have some kind of play.

The door to the bedroom is open, Shuri walks in with a smile and takes off the clothes binding his husband hands, the moment he was free, he takes off the tape right away.

Shoji: HOW COULD YOU DO THAAAT!!!

Shuri: oh honey, let's just think of this as my kin-

Shoji: WHAT KINK!? THIS IS DOMESTIC ABUS- AH WHATEVER, I WON'T LET MY DAUGHTER GO OUT WITH A MA-

Shoji was about to leave the room when he sees Shuri's "smile"

Shuri: go on... prevent them from going on a date and I'll make sure you'll eat rocks for a week...

This morning when Shoji learnt about his daughter date plan, he was about to prevent it from happening, but of course, Shuri understand her husband very well, she locked her husband in their room.

Shoji was silently crying, can't accept that a man was taking her daughter out on a date...

Shoji: my baby....

At the park, Daichi lay the matt near the lake under a nice cherry blossom tree.

Y/N: good thing we arrive early... this nice spot is still vacant...

Daichi: yes, this is a nice spot...

As the two set their stuff and sit, Y/N shyly opens the basket and show Daichi what she made.

Y/N: um... well, I hope this will satisfy you Sawamura san...

Daichi is in awe at the sight of the neatly packed and mouthwatering foods in front of him.

Daichi: whoa, L/N... you did great! Um can I try this?

Daichi points at a croquettes and Y/N shyly nods. She watches as Daichi takes a bite, nervous about his reaction.

Daichi: it's good L/N!

Y/N is happy that Daichi is pleased with her cooking. The two enjoy the food and talks about a lot of things.

After eating they go on a stroll and enjoying the scenery. Daichi bought ice creams for the two of them and they like the same flavor.

The day went by nicely until three p.m, the two planned to go back before dark and eat dinner together with L/N parents. The L/N couple have been askind Daichi to eat dinner with them and he tells Y/N that he's happy with the offer.

They walk side by side, heading to the park's exit. Actually the whole week Daichi has been bothered with his feeling. He glances at Y/N, the girl looks so beautiful and her presence next to him makes him at ease.

He swallow the nothingness in his throat and brave himself.

Daichi: Y/N...

Y/N stops her step as she was surprised. Her name just came out of Daichi's lips and it makes her heart races.

Y/N: S-Sawamura sa-

Daichi: I... want to call you Y/N... and... not just that... I...

Daichi stares at Y/N and the girl can't atop her heart from going crazy by his eyes staring into hers.

Daichi: I like you L/N Y/N....

Y/N's eyes are wide open.

Daichi: I... know we've just met again for a couple of months ago... but, during those times, I can't help but being drawn to you... and moreover, the day you looked after me when I was sick... that day I can't deny my feelings any longer... I like you L/N... can we... be togehter?

Y/N's heart is full by now she's happy to hear Daichi's feelings, she too has been crushing on him and to hesr him asked her to be with him, makes her overjoyed.

Y/N: Da...ichi...

Daichi feels like his ears was blessed by the soft voice of Y/N's voice calling his name.

Y/N looks at Daichi, returning his gaze with the same love he gave to her. Y/N beams a sweet smile to Daichi an tells him her feelings.

Y/N: I... like you too Daichi.... I... I'd be happy to be with you....

Daichi was so happy that he dropped the basket on his hand and pulls Y/N to him, wrapping his arms around her unconsciously.

Y/N: D-Daichi

He notices that he hugs her without notice, but he doesn't want to draw his arms away from her, she's in his arms feels so right.

Daichi: sorry... I was just so happy...

Daichi pull back and looks at the red faced girl in front of him. He can't hide the amusement he has.

Daichi: well, please take care of me... Y/N...

Y/N: m-e too... please... look after me... Daichi...

As feelings became clear...

And were delivered...

Two hearts finally become one...

As today...

Is officially become their first day....

And also the shocking day for Y/N's father...
